Welcome to My Blog: Where Technology Meets Business
Who Am I?
I’m Burak Kanber — a Digital Transformation Specialist currently working on the MATISSE EU Horizon Europe KDT Project at Eskisehir Osmangazi University in Turkey. I build cloud platforms, develop computer vision systems, and coordinate cross-border R&D efforts.
What makes my perspective a bit different is that I sit at the intersection of software engineering and business/accounting. I hold a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems and I’m currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Accounting, Auditing & Tax Applications, with a thesis focused on NLP-based greenwashing detection in corporate sustainability reports.
Before my current role, I worked as an SAP Specialist focused on ERP automation, and as a full-stack developer on a TUBITAK-funded IoT fleet management project.
Key Takeaways
- This blog is written from the intersection of software engineering and accounting/auditing.
- Expect practical guides (SAP, cloud architecture, AI workflows) grounded in real projects.
- I’ll prioritize clarity, decision rationale, and reusable mental models.

Why This Blog?
I’ve spent years consuming content from tutorials, documentation, courses, and books. At some point, you realize that the best way to solidify your knowledge is to produce rather than just consume. That’s the philosophy behind everything I do — including my upcoming book, Just Build It: From Consuming to Producing Technology.
This blog is part of that same idea: sharing real-world experience, practical knowledge, and honest assessments of the tools and techniques I work with every day.
